One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Ezekiel 20:1-49
Hebrews 9:11-28
Psalm 107:1-43
Proverbs 27:11

Verse of the day:

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:27-28)

Have you ever hung out with someone and can just tell that they would rather be with someone else or doing something other than what you’re doing? That makes hanging out not fun. I’ve been there on both the giving and receiving end. When I look back, I hate that I treated others that way. I wish I could go back in time and redo those times I've had with people.

I know you’ve experienced that before as well because as hard as we search, we’ll never find someone who can truly love us unconditionally like we desire. And as much as we may love someone, we’re bound to disappoint. What speaks to me about Jesus' love and what He's done and is going to do is that He desperately wants to be with me. He won’t relent in a relationship with me. He gave His life for me, and is going to come back again to bring me salvation.

Jesus will never be that guy who is on His phone when your talking. He’d never rather be with someone else or doing something more fun than spending time with you. Romans 9 speaks to His earnest desire to be with us. He came once to die for you so that you could have a relationship. And He’s coming back to bring salvation to those who are ready and willing. Thank you Jesus that you want me! As you go throughout your day, remember that Jesus wants to spend time with you, and He’s coming back real soon to take you to His home!
