Nature And Worship
Posted: Saturday, November 15
Verse of the day:
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob. He turned the rock into a pool of water; yes, a spring of water flowed from solid rock. (Psalm 114:7-8)
Nature worships its creator. Psalm 19 tells us, “The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word: their voice is never heard. Yet there message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.”
Nature defends its creator. In Luke 19, the Pharisees demand that Jesus silence the worship of his followers. Jesus replies, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”
Nature submits to its creator. When Moses struck the rock at Meribah, the earth bowed to the will of its maker. The seasons are changing here in Wisconsin. Let us celebrate the work of our Father’s hands, and may we also worship, defend, and submit to our glorious Creator.
