One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Amos 4:1-6:14
Revelation 2:18-3:6
Psalm 130:1-8
Proverbs 29:21-22

Verse of the day:

I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn. (Psalm 130:5-6)

We need to keep part of our day clear for us to wait for the Lord. So often we go charging on ahead down the path of life neglecting the fact that our guide, the only one who knows where we are going, is now behind us. He knows where the dangers and the traps in the road are, and we don't. We just get in such a hurry to get there, that we get impatient—we forget how many times He has taken this road and how well He knows it.

He holds back for a reason. He knows us better than we know ourselves and we need to wait for Him to lead and show the way. When we do so, we find that He is constantly showing us some of the great wonders along the way.

There is so much more to experience along the path if we allow ourselves to see and experience it. So slow down and smell the roses.
