One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Deuteronomy 7:1-8:20
Luke 7:36-8:3
Psalm 69:1-18
Proverbs 12:1

Verse of the day:

For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure. (Deuteronomy 7:6)

Imagine what life would be like if the God that created the universe picked you. Out of all the persons that live and walk among the entire human race, what if God chose to have a relationship with you. It is almost unimaginable. Yet it happened for the entire nation of Israel. God looked down and saw one man, Abraham, and pursued a relationship with him. Abraham spoke to God and changed the legacy of his entire family. A nation, chosen by God, was born. He made these Egyptian slaves his very own. God called them out, sanctified them, and set them apart as holy.

Imagine if that was still happening today. Imagine if God was still calling people to be a part of his family. Calling them to hear his voice and come to him. Calling them to walk with him in relationships and changing the dynamics of their lives and families. It is almost unimaginable, yet it is still happening today. Through the cross of Jesus Christ, the message of God’s calling is available to us all. God longs for you to be his special treasure. He is choosing you today, will you chose him?
