Proverbs 15:8-10

Verse of the day:

I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life. (John 8:12)

Light is SO important.  You don’t know how important light is, until it’s absent.  This reminds me one day arriving my house after my curfew, and needing to navigate in the dark without making too much noise; so I wouldn’t wake up my parents up.

Well… that’s never a good idea, especially when your room is in the basement, and when it’s dark, it looks like a black hole.  I remember loosing my equilibrium and stumbling over every piece of furniture, including our cast iron chimney!  Someone had used it right before they went to bed, so I felt my skin frying in the dark.  There’s nothing worst than getting burned without knowing you could.

That taught me a lesson that I carry till this day!  Always turn the light on! Scripture says that, if you follow Christ, you will never be in darkness!  Always follow the light!  Don’t get caught up in a dark hole of life, without Jesus providing life-giving light.
