Psalm 118:1-18
Proverbs 15:24-26

Verse of the day:

Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to the Lord.
This is the gate of the Lord;
The righteous will enter through it.
I shall give thanks to You, for You have answered me,
And You have become my salvation. (Psalm 118: 19-21)

"This is the gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter." The Psalmist loves the house of God so much that he admires the very gate he enters through into God’s presence. He pauses beneath its arch to express his affection for what it represents. He loved it because it was the gate of the Lord, he loved it because it was the gate of righteousness, because so many godly people had already entered it, and because throughout future ages, the godly will continue to pass through its portals.

If the gate of the Lord's house on earth is so pleasant to us, and we rejoice as we enter through it, how much greater will we rejoice when we pass through Heaven’s gate of pearl, to which none but the righteous shall ever approach; through which all the just shall, in due time, enter into eternal happiness.

The Lord Jesus has set the gate wide open and secured an entrance for all those who are made righteous through his righteousness. Our Lord Himself is that gate, and through him, all the righteous delight as they draw near to praise Him. We must enter through this gate, for acceptable praise never climbs over the wall, or enters by any other way. For as it is written, "No man cometh unto the Father but by, (through), Me."

So today let us enter into His presence with our sacrifice of praise having the full confidence that we are made righteous and have gained our salvation through Him.
