One Year Bible Reading Guide:

1 Kings 22:1-53
Acts 13:16-41
Psalm 138:1-8
Proverbs 17:17-18

Verse of the day:

The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. (Psalms 138:8)

Have you ever wondered if you just missed out on what God has for your life? Have you ever thought that you have messed up so much that God could never use you? Do you live in fear of making the wrong choice and ruining God’s plan?

I love the confidence of the Psalmist as they write, “The Lord will work out his plans for my life.” They don’t write that God might, as long as I don’t mess things up too bad. They don’t say that God could work out His Plan for our lives, as long as we pray every day, read the Bible every day, and live a perfect life. The Lord will work out His Plan. He Will.

We get to live everyday with confidence knowing that God is working out His Plan in our lives. He is crafting both our lives and the situations around our lives to get us right where he wants us to be. There are so many times I look at a situation and see that everything just lined up. “What a coincidence” is what some would say. I choose to see the hand of God guiding me and external situations so that my life comes into alignment with His Plan.

Start your day by putting your life in his hands. Trust him. Don’t believe the little voice in your head that says you are unworthy of His Plan or that you are somehow going to mess it all up. Prays as the Psalmist, “Don’t abandon me, for you made me.” He knows you and what you were made to do. Trust in His Plan.
