One Year Bible Reading Guide:

1 Kings 18:1-46
Acts 11:1-30
Psalm 135:1-21
Proverbs 17:12-13

Verse of the Day:

I know the greatness of the Lord—that our Lord is greater than any other god. (Psalm 135:5)

I wonder, do you truly know the greatness of the Lord? Some might say they have read about His greatness; others have theorized about His greatness; and still more have even debated about His greatness. But have you experienced His greatness in your life?

There’s something incredibly powerful about experience. Albert Einstein noted, “The only source of knowledge is experience.” Mark Twain commented, “A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way.” I wonder, do you know the greatness of the Lord?

The psalmists firm declaration was a statement of confidence forged in the fires of testing and trials. What’s your story? What has God brought you out of? What is He doing in your life today?

Consider, for just a few moments, “the greatness of the Lord” in your life. I challenge you to take two minutes and either write down or verbalize to God some of the things He has done in your life. Don’t let this conversation stay between you and God, instead, brag about His greatness today in some way.
