One Year Bible Reading Guide:

2 Kings 15:1-16:20
Acts 19:13-41
Psalm 147:1-20
Proverbs 18:4-5

Verse of the day:

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.” (Psalm 147:5)

There are a lot of areas that I don’t have much knowledge or understanding in. Science being one of those areas. I find the world around us fascinating but I don’t have the knowledge to be able to explain why it functions the way it does.  God however has unlimited understanding in all areas! He understands how everything was made because He made it! He knew that there were atoms and DNA before we ever imagined that there could be more than what we could see with the naked eye.

He knew that we would need help understanding how to live in the world that He created so He gave us guidelines on how to live found in scripture.  We can think that we that we have more understanding than God and ignore His guidelines but it is only to our own demise.  Just like He was aware of atoms and DNA before we were ; He is able to see hidden consequences that we can’t see until it is too late.

Charles Spurgeon said, “A Bible that’s falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t.”  Trust that God has more wisdom and more understanding than we could ever have. Trust that His guidelines are good and that they were given to you out of love and not out of a desire to ruin your fun.  When there are decisions to be made and you are battling between choosing God’s wisdom vs. your own wisdom always go with God’s! He will never lead you astray!
