One Year Bible Reading Guide:

2 Kings 20:1-22:2
Acts 21:18-36
Psalm 150:1-6
Proverbs 18:9-10

Verse of the day:

A lazy person is as bad as someone who destroys things. (Proverbs 18:9)

Wow! That was a crazy weekend. This past Sunday, I had the privilege to work with 70+ singers, 35+ instrumentalists, 18 dancers, a set crew, a video crew, and some phenomenal backstage help. These people worked hard, but here comes my confession…

We had a couple of accidents.

Last Tuesday night, one of our trombone players bumped an aging music stand. The whole thing flipped and the light crashed on the floor. Last Thursday, we were carrying a 12-foot star in the stage door and scratched the door frame ever so slightly. These, of course, were accidental. But, for the sake of our proverb, what if they were on purpose? What if someone came in this weekend and intentionally destroyed our sheet music or cut holes in the costumes? That would be horrible, right?

Of course. That would be just as bad as the person who did nothing. Really? Destroying is just as bad as neglect? Solomon seemed to think so. Read the verse again, then get to work, and have a great day!
