One Year Bible Reading Guide:

2 Chronicles 19:1-20:37
Romans 10:14-11:12
Psalm 21:1-13
Proverbs 20:4-6

Verse of the day:

And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” (Romans 10:15)

If I were to choose a word to describe feet, the last adjective I would probably use is “beautiful.”  Bunion-pained, callous-encrusted, hairy-knuckled… I’ll spare you the rest of the list.

Yet, Paul reaches back into the book of Isaiah to quote a future time when someone (the Messiah), would burst forth on the scene of a hopeless, pain-filled, first century world, and bring good news that would totally change everything.  And that’s exactly what the gospel of Jesus Christ does today; it brings hope and healing to broken lives in a broken world.

Conservative estimates indicate that there are still over 2 billion people who have yet to hear the gospel once. Some of them live in remote places like Tunisia, Myanmar, and Guyana and others are just a walk across the office, the street, or the room.

Our challenge today is to share the good news with someone.  Who knows, they may even describe your feet as beautiful.
