One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Job 8:1-11:20
1 Corinthians 15:1-28
Psalm 38:1-22
Proverbs 21:28-29

Verse of the day:

The wicked bluff their way through, but the virtuous think before they act. (Proverbs 21:29)

Have you ever sent a text, tweet, post, or other quick message and gone back to read it later? How did all those errors get into your message? Stupid phone? Stupid autocorrect? We have all blamed our technology for our own impatience.

Today’s verse tells is that a virtuous (def. -- having or showing high moral standards) person thinks before they act. They take the time to reread a message. They take time to think out a hasty response. They want to make sure the content is really what they want to say. Most of us have had to use up more time correcting a mistake made in haste or trying to repair the damage of our quick words.

Let us make sure today to slow down our pace a bit so that our words, actions, and attitudes accurately send the message that we want to convey. Let us not just try to fake it, blaming our laziness on technology.
