One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Exodus 13:17-15:18
Matthew 21:23-46
Psalm 26:1-12
Proverbs 6:16-19

Verse of the day:

“And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So the Israelites did this. (Exodus 14:4)

God had a plan for the children of Israel and He led them in that plan in a pretty cool way.  God has a plan for your life.  He led them by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21-22).  God will lead you.  At one point God told the children of Israel to do something that by human understanding didn’t make sense.  He told them to turn back and camp by the sea (Exodus 14:1-2).  What God tells you to do may not always make sense to you.  Just go with it.  Israel’s enemy didn’t like the Israelites leaving and they went after them (Exodus 14:5-9).  Your enemy doesn’t like God’s plan for your life either.  The Israelites were marching out boldly until they saw the Egyptians, then they were terrified.  Moses told them to not be afraid and to stand firm and see what God will do (Exodus 14:8-14).  You do the same.  Stand firm in God and His plan for your life.  God revealed His plan to Moses and the Israelites piece by piece.  God said, “…turn back and encamp…”, “…I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh…”, “Raise your staff…” and “…go through the sea on dry ground” (Exodus 14:2, 4, 16).  God will reveal His plan for you piece by piece too.  Just keep walking with Him.  Moses and the Israelites obeyed God when He gave them instructions (Exodus 14:21-22).  Obey God’s instructions.  God brought a great victory for Israel when the Egyptians were swept into the sea (Exodus 14:26-30).  God will bring you victory as you follow His plan.  After all that, “…the people feared the Lord and put their trust in Him and in Moses His servant” (Exodus 14:31).  Be encouraged and keep on trusting God and His plan.  God was worshipped and praised by Moses and the Israelites for who He is and what he had done for them (Exodus 15:1-2).  Praise God for who He is and what He is doing for you, in you and through you.

So there you have it.  (1) God has a plan for your life.  (2) God will lead you.  (3) What God tells you to do may not always make sense to you.  Just go with it.  (4) Your enemy doesn’t like God’s plan for your life.  (5) Stand firm in God and His plan for your life.  (6) Often God will reveal His plan for you piece by piece.  Just keep walking with Him.  (7) Obey God’s instructions.  (8) God will bring you victory as you follow His plan.  (9) Be encouraged and keep on trusting God and His plan.  (10) Praise God for who He is and what He is doing for you, in you and through you.  God’s got a plan.  What are you going to do with it
