When You're Really Facing It

Verse of the day:
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. … Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. (Psalm 62: 1, 5)
How do you feel when your internet connection is slow and you have to wait –forever– for a video to load? Are you happy? Do you take that extra time to pray? Yeah… I didn’t think so. Nobody likes to wait. We want what we want and we want it now!
In Psalm 62:1-7, David knew he could trust God in the midst of his intense problems and trials. He knew that God was going to give him the victory. God is the source of his hope. Thus, David tells himself to wait quietly for God. While he waited, David was not going to complain, not going to fight, not going to argue, and not going to plead. He was just going to wait in silence for as long as it took. David believed that God already knew what was going on and was already acting on his behalf. So it was just a matter of time before he received the victory.
What do you do when things are not going your way? What do you do when you are facing intense problems and trials in your life? Do like David did! Trust that God already knows what is going on and is already acting on your behalf. Choose to wait in silence for as long as it takes, because it is just a matter of time before you receive your victory.
