Not Deserved, Blessed

Verse of the day:
You must recognize that the LORD your God is not giving you this good land because you are good, for you are not—you are a stubborn people. (Deuteronomy 9:6)
Have you ever heard a flight attendant say this?
“In preparation for takeoff, please ensure that your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright and stowed positions, your seat belts are securely fastened and all your carry-on items are securely stowed. Please observe the FASTEN SEATBELT until it has been turned off. Smoking is prohibited throughout the cabin and in the lavatories. Thank you for your attention. We will be airborne shortly.”
It’s the flight attendant’s job to prepare the passengers for the soon departure of the aircraft and to help them understand how to behave while in the air.
In Deuteronomy 9:6, Moses spoke like a flight attendant. He explained to them that it was by God’s grace that they were going to enter the Promised Land. He said you do not deserve it. Yet, God decided to bless you anyways.
Let me be your flight attendant today. You are about to receive a promotion! You are about to receive the long-awaited answer to a prayer! You are about to receive a miracle! God is getting ready to bless your socks off! So as you eagerly await your promise, remember you did not deserve the miracle, the promotion or the answer to your prayer. God will give it to you because He loves you! Remember that the blessings you are about to receive are a gift from God.
Thank you for your attention. You will experience God’s blessing shortly.
