Judges 6:1-40
Luke 22:54-23:12
Psalm 95:1-96:13
Proverbs 14:5-6

Verse of the day:

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. (Psalm 95:6-7)

I’ll be honest. I haven’t knelt in a while. It’s not really an expression that comes to mind on a daily basis. I can’t think of a good reason to avoid it, so . . . I think I’ll give it a try. Right now. At my desk. In my office. Here we go.

. . .

Okay. I’m doing it. I think people are staring at me. Yep. People are staring. (It’s like they’ve never seen someone kneel at a computer before.) And now . . . my knees hurt. Wow. Is this what it feels like to be 80? I’m coming back up for air.

. . .

We kneel before God to express our submission to his authority. When we bow our posture, we bow our nature before Him and to Him. Here’s the daily challenge: bow before the Lord today. Submit your body and your will to the one true and holy King.
