Numbers 8:1-9:23
Mark 13:14-37
Psalm 50:1-23
Proverbs 10:29-30

Verse of the day:

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Mark 13:31)

We’re in the middle of a massive storm of change. The government is about to change and ideas that seemed impossible several decades ago are now a reality. These changes can feel both exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Change is in the air!

What should we do as Christians in the face of all these changes? We have two choices.

(1)    We can reject change altogether.

However, we must not summarily dismiss change without analyzing whether it is needed or if it would be beneficial.

(2)    We can evaluate all changes in the light of the unchanging word of God.

It seems to me that the second choice is the better one.

According to Jesus, the key to success in times of great change lies in focusing on His words. In Mark 13:31, we find Jesus saying: “Even if everything around you changes, my words will still be powerful and relevant.”

Jesus’ words are reliable and they’ll keep us connected to the truth even in changing times. He assures us that we can trust in His words. His words will not pass away.

So, will you allow Jesus’ words to be the anchor of your life today?
