Isaiah 12:1-14:32
2 Corinthians 13:1-14
Psalm 57:1-11
Proverbs 23:9-11

Verse of the day:

Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. (2 Corinthians 13:11)

Have you ever been in a room that is so messy that you can’t even see the floor? According to my Mom, my bedroom as a teenager was such a place. I clearly remember her asking me multiple times to organize my room. Just like Armin the teenager, the church in Corinth was messy. They were infamous for their disagreements and fights. So, Paul encouraged them to put things in order by agreeing on the important things (doctrine, leadership and purity) and to live in peace with each other.

Yet, like my Mom, the Apostle Paul had to repeatedly ask the church in Corinth to put their lives in order. A good example of this is found in 2 Corinthians 13:11. Here, Paul said farewell and was going to end his letter. But, he felt the need to remind them to get their lives in order and promised them that the God of love and peace was going to be with them.

What things you need to put in order in your life? Has God been repeating to you the same thing over and over? Is God using different venues to let you know that you need to put in order certain area of your life? If so, this is the day to put your life in order. Yes, it may be hard. Just remember that the God of love and peace– you know, the one who is an expert at putting things in order – will be with you. God promises that you will not be alone as you put your life in order.
