One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Daniel 11:36-12:13
1 John 4:1-21
Psalm 123:1-4
Proverbs 29:2-4

Verse of the day:

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. (1 John 4:12)

No one has ever seen God. God is a Spirit, and therefore invisible. Even in the Old Testament era, though there appeared manifestations of God in human form such as in the life of Moses, these were merely God in human disguise. It was not God made visible.

No one has ever seen God. But

If we love one another, God lives in us!

And the interesting thing is, people can see you! And if God is living in you, isn’t there the possibility that people could see Jesus in you? Hmm…

Our world desperately needs to see God and this will happen as we love one another.   Many would say they are a loving person, but it’s in theory only. There are 59 times in the Bible where the phrase ‘one another’ is used in a command for believers. Love isn’t something that can be practiced in isolation listening to a podcast. Love is always demonstrated in community, in the church as we serve and sacrifice for ‘one another’.

How can you allow people to see Jesus today?
