One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Exodus 34:1-35:9
Matthew 27:15-31
Psalm 33:12-22
Proverbs 9:1-6

Verse of the day:

They told him, “Sir, we remember what that deceiver once said while he was still alive: ‘After three days I will rise from the dead.’ (Matthew 27:63)

The greatest moment for Christianity is when Jesus rose from the dead. It’s one thing to do miracles, another to say some pretty incredible things, but to die and come back from the dead is on a whole new level! No one else has done anything even remotely close to that!

What’s even more unbelievable is that Jesus was going around telling people this is exactly what was going to go down. It wasn’t a secret Jesus was keeping amongst his disciples. He made it public, everyone knew it, and people were expecting it.

The leading priests and Pharisees did what they could to prevent and shut down and spread of Jesus’ resurrection because they knew it’d be big. Because Jesus rose from the dead, he holds more power and authority than any other person in the universe! He contains more hope than any politician, more healing than any doctor, more peace than any counselor, more salvation than any religious patriarch. When you talk to Jesus, you’re talking to the risen GOD! Not a man, a God, THE God! Priests and Pharisees tried to simmer the significance and spread of His resurrection, but it’s to big too contain! We serve and are loved by a Risen King!
