Prioritize And Prosper

Have you ever felt that you have more things to do than time to do them? When you’re bombarded by things that require your immediate attention, you need to prioritize. If you don’t, you’ll never accomplish anything significant. Proverbs 24:27 describes the way King Solomon built the first temple. He had the stones for the temple prepared at a quarry before been brought into the construction site for assembly (1 Kings 5:18; 6:7). The precision and care of those cutting the rock in the quarry created a masterpiece.
This proverb teaches you to prioritize the things you need to do. Plan to accomplish your to do list in order of importance. You might say, “Everything that I have to do is important.” Yet, generally, if you have 20 things to do, only 5 are really important. So use your time wisely and devote more time to those 5 things that are really important and do the remaining 15 as you are able. Why? Because you will always have more things to do than time to do them. Consequently, you must forego somethings in order to accomplish something else that will allow you to achieve your goals.
What are your God-given dreams or goals? Out of all the things you have to do now, what are the 5 really important ones that will allow you to achieve your goals?
