One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Numbers 15:17-16:40
Mark 15:1-47
Psalm 54:1-7
Proverbs 11:5-6

Verse of the day:

The godliness of good people rescues them; the ambition of treacherous people traps them. (Proverbs 11:6)

Things I keep telling myself . . . Use mouthwash every day; clear snow on the same day it falls; and don’t write a political post. It’s too controversial. Besides, how can you turn an eye roll into a sentence?

But this election season is crazy, right? (Stop it, Dan!) Forgive me. I had a momentary lapse of consciousness. This is NOT a political post. If you really want to hear a biblical perspective on the U.S. elections, you could simply see what Max Lucado has to say here:

Or this interesting read from Christianity Today:

christianitytoday.com/ct/2016/march-web-only/should-christians-vote-for-lesser-of-two-evils.html

Or this unique perspective on Bernie Sanders from the Huffington Post:

I could get involved . . . (Come on, Dan. Self control!) . . . but I won’t. I’ll leave it alone. I’ll pray for my country. I’ll pray for it’s current and future leaders. I’ll vote, and I’ll occasionally share wise proverbs like this:

The godliness of good people rescues them; the ambition of treacherous people traps them. // Proverbs 11:6

Happy election season.
