One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Exodus 21:22-23:13
Matthew 24:1-28
Psalm 29:1-11
Proverbs 7:6-23

Verse of the day:
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. (Psalms 28:7)

Hey everyone! Hope you're all keeping warm and aren’t too...FROZEN! Forgetting my weirdness, lets take a look at the Psalm David writes to God in Psalm 28. This passage of scripture is giving us excellent examples of how badly we should be chasing after God. David explains how if God were to somehow disappear, he may as well just give up and die because he lets God rule every part of his life, and without him, Davids life would me meaningless. He begs God not to be like the other naughty people in the world who go against what he commands us to do, but to protect him from evil and thanks God for listening to his cries of mercy

Now, it might be cool to look at David and say "Wow! That's so awesome how much David needs God in his life! They must be best friends because of how much God means to David!". But some of us might not realize that we can have the EXACT same relationship with God that David has! If we pray to God, sing songs to him during worship time, and talk to him about everything; not just the big things in our lives, we can receive that same kind of mercy and love from God that David had! If you have God at your side, there is nothing in life too big for him to help you overcome! I challenge you to not just pray to God when you're gonna eat, or when you need a miracle, but also if something small comes up in life, or even just to talk to him and thank him like you might do when you chat in the back of the classroom with your best friend and he gives you some skittles and you're like "thanks bro!". The closer you are to God, the further you are from Sin. Have a great day everyone, and may God bless.
