Nothing Is To Hard For God //Saturday, October 18

1 Timothy 3:1-16
Verse of the day:
Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:17)
When I read the above verse in today’s reading it made me want to sing. “Awe, Lord God, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power. Awe, Lord God, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thine outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for thee. OhOhOh…” Alright, you get the idea. Just be thankful you’re not in my office having to hear me sing.
Ok, back to the verse. This verse is part of a prayer prayed by Jeremiah. Jeremiah says nothing is too hard for God to do. Reading further in the chapter we read the following. If God wants to deliver his people from Egypt, He will and He did. If He needs to punish Israel for their disobedience through the hand of the Babylonians, He will and He did. And if He wants to restore Israel, He will.
When God responded to Jeremiah with verse 27, He says, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? “ Aren’t you glad when you get it right? Jeremiah got it right. He had just said “Nothing is too hard for God.” It was as if “God said, you’re right Jeremiah. Nothing is too difficult for me.” Be reassured today. No matter what you’re going through, nothing is too hard for God.
