One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Joel 1:1-3:21
Revelation 1:1-20
Psalm 128:1-6
Proverbs 29:18

Verse of the day:

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8)

The apostle John says that when he began to get the revelation from the Lord, he turned around to see who was speaking to him.  (v. 12)  Verses 13 through 16 record what he saw. “And among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.”  Wow!  John’s response was the same as all of ours would be.  He fell down at Jesus’ feet.  Pretty awesome huh?  But wait, it gets better.  The Son of God puts His right hand on John and says this in verses 17 and 18..  “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last   “I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” Wow! again.

Isn’t it awesome that we can put our trust in the One who always was and always will be, the one described above.   He still touches lives and says “Do not be afraid”. (v.17)   “The First and the Last”, “the Living One”, the Son of God is with us in whatever we’re going through and He’s the one in charge, cause He holds the keys.  Wow!, yet again.   God bless you.
