One Year Bible Reading Guide

Numbers 32:1-33:39
Luke 4:31-5:11
Psalm 64:1-10
Proverbs 11:22

Verse of the day:

"You may be sure that your sin will find you out". (Numbers 32:23)

We all have areas of sin in our lives that we struggle to deal with. These are the areas of sin that we bury & hide in hopes that no one will find out. The problem is sin that we try to hide does not go away it grows.  What we try to keep in the dark will begin to take over our lives. Sin is like mold; it thrives & grows in darkness making anyone who comes in contact with it sick.

Given enough time the sin that we try to hide will come out; lies become uncovered, lust is exposed, anger explodes, and gluttony begins to show. God’s love and mercy allows for our sin to be uncovered.   He wants us to be free from the bondage of sin. It may seem easier to deal with the sin on our own and not let anyone know what we are struggling with, but keeping it hidden is part of the enemy’s plan to keep us in bondage.  Bringing sin into the light is the beginning of the path to freedom.

What area of sin are you trying to hide? Ask God to help reveal to you today any area that is not pleasing to him and ask Him for wisdom on how to bring that area into the light.
