One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Deuteronomy 5:1-6:25
Luke 7:11-35
Psalm 68:19-35
Proverbs 11:29-31

Verse of the day:

You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

Have you ever wondered what God wants most from you? We often think God demands a hundred different things from us; our money, our time, our effort, our will, our submission, and on and on the list goes. But what God really wants most of all is our love. When we really love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and mind, then everything else is freely given to the Lord. The reality is that if we give the Lord all the rest - money, time, effort, will, and so forth - without giving Him our love, it is all wasted - and perhaps even lost.

As you live out your day, consider how you might love Him in the following ways:

1.      Sincerely – that our love is not just words but comes from a true heart

2.      Strongly – that your affections burn with an unrivaled intensity for Him

3.      Supremely – that you love Him in a way that esteems Him higher than anyone or anything else

4.      Intelligently – that you grow in your knowledge and understanding of Him

God desires that His followers love Him completely in the same way that He loves us completely.
