One Year Bible Reading Guide:

2 Chronicles 11:1-13:22
Romans 8:26-39
Psalm 18:37-50
Proverbs 19:27-29

Verse of the day:

No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39)

For me personally, it’s hard to wrap my mind around this verse and truly believe it. It seems to good to be true! How could anyone love me so much, that no matter what I do or what happens, they still hold the same deep compassionate love for me? I can be a real knuckle head sometimes and do some pretty mean things. I can get to the boiling point where no one likes being around me. I am capable of collapsing my life to the point where I lose everything, including my future. How is it that God can still love with an unquivering unshakable heart despite all of that?

There are days that I make terrible choices and feel a million miles from God. I know that I have sinned and caused deep hurt to the heart of God the Father. During those times, it seems almost impossible to talk to him. How can God love me after I just did this? The truth is, God loves us more than we will ever know. He is love, and we can love him because he first extended love to us.

Today, you may be feeling a million miles away from God because of choices you have made. Know this, his Word never fails. If it says it, He means it. And there is nothing that will ever separate you from God’s love. Pick your head up, turn to Jesus, repent and sin no more. He’s waiting with open arms to embrace you like you’ve never felt before. God loves you and wants a relationship with you. Will you accept his never failing love?
