The Promised Land Is Just Around The Corner

Verse of the day:
Their voices rose in a great chorus of protest against Moses and Aaron. “If only we had died in Egypt, or even here in the wilderness!” they complained. (Numbers 14:2)
In one way or another, we’ve all seen God’s power at work in our lives. Yet, when new challenges and trials arise, we tend to get scared and to forget all the things God has done for us. Usually this happens when we are the closest to achieving a life goal or dream. We are so close, but we feel so far away! We feel tempted to give up, turn around, and go home. Have you ever felt like this?
The people of Israel felt like this as they were getting ready to enter the Promised Land. Moses sent twelve spies to explore the Promised Land and they came back with two different reports – one of fear and one of faith. Sadly, fear spread quickly through the people. This led them to rebel against their leaders. They wanted to choose another leader and to go back to Egypt. Slavery seemed like the best choice. The consequences of their fear and lack of faith were tragic. On the other hand, the two spies who believed and trusted God were the only ones from that generation who lived long enough to enter the Promised Land and enjoy its benefits.
As you evaluate the challenges that are looming in your future, remember God’s promises because your goal, your dream, or your miracle are just around the corner. God is still powerful and still just one prayer away. Don’t allow fear reports to control your mood and your decision making. Trust God and move forward! The Promised Land is just around the corner!
