One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Judges 8:18-9:21
Luke 23:44-24:12
Psalm 99:1-9
Proverbs 14:9-10

Verse of the day:

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” (Luke 24:6-7)

We celebrated Easter one month ago.  Thousands of people attended the musical presented by hundreds of volunteers from our church family.  Our sanctuary was full for our services on Sunday, March 27th.  For many of us, there was a holiday meal shared with loved ones.

While we enjoy the events surrounding Easter Sunday, Christ followers can and should celebrate His resurrection every day.

“He is not here; he has risen!” (Luke 24:6 NIV).

Our Lord and Savior overcame death so that we can have eternal life.  That is a reason to give Him praise in our personal prayer time and when we gather together in worship services.  Proclaiming Christ’s victory should not be reserved for one day a year.

We find encouragement in the inspired words of the Apostle Paul, “if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you” (Romans 8:11).

How thankful we can be that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the tomb is alive in every believer, every day.
