Would You Take The Test?

2 Chronicles 33:14-34:33
Verse of the day:
"Put me on trial, LORD, and cross examine me. Test my motives and my heart."(Psalm 26:2 NLT)
The testimony of key witnesses can make or break a trial.
When a prosecutor calls a person to the stand, they will ask the witness a series of questions aimed at ultimately convicting the defendant.
However, the defense attorney's job is to do everything within the rule of law to discredit or raise doubt during cross examination.
In the eyes of the jury, the testimony must stand up to cross examination.
We are challenged to pursue God in such a way that there is no doubt we trust Him.
"Put me on trial, LORD, and cross examine me.
Test my motives and my heart."
Psalm 26:2 (NLT)
Would you allow God to test your motives and heart the way a defense attorney cross examines a prosecutor's witness?
We might be able to fool other people, but there is no deceiving our Heavenly Father.
By asking God to investigate your motives and your heart, you allow Him to expose hypocrisy and evil in your life. This should be encouraging because when you see these sins for what they are, you can ask God to help you with turning away from anything that is keeping you from full relationship with Him.
