Dont Loose Heart

Verse of the day:
So the Lord gave to Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there. And the Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had solemnly promised their ancestors. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the Lord helped them conquer all their enemies. Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true. (Joshua 21:43-45, NLT)
God promised Israel, “Look, I am giving all this land to you! Go in and occupy it, for it is the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to all their descendants” (Deuteronomy 1:8, NLT). This promised sustained them through the years. This promised was handed down from father to son. Everyone’s heart ached to experience the peace, security, and prosperity of the Promised Land. The successful conquest of the Promised Land was more than a mere military victory. It was God’s fulfillment of His promise.
As Joshua was assigning each tribe an inheritance in the Land, their excitement was akin to that of a bride on the morning of her wedding day or of a child on Christmas morning. We can glimpse this excitement in the words of Joshua (21:43-45) as he remembered the faithfulness of God and described the blessings given to Israel. They received from God: the Land, peace, prosperity, and security. In fact, Joshua declares “Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true” (Joshua 21:45, NLT). God fulfilled all His promises to Israel.
You can count on God to do the same thing for you. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8, NLT). God is still faithful. He still keeps all His promises. Since all of God’s promises are true, you don’t have to wonder which promises of God to believe. You can believe them all.
