Verse of the day:

And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)

Hey guys, today is Valentine’s Day. I hope you did not forget. I hope that you went out and did all the special things that you do for the special people in your life.

I wonder what the most over used promises of Valentine’s Day are: I will love you always, I love you most, Forever yours, etc. When we talk about our love for that special someone, we like to uses words like always and forever. However, there is really only one person that can live up to that promise.

God sent Jesus to bring us into a relationships with him. He loved us so much that he was willing to see his son suffer and die so that he could be resurrected with a promise of new life. Jesus last words to his disciples are an incredible statement about God’s love for us. It is a promise that Jesus prepared the way so that we can forever be with God. It is the ultimate statement of “I will love you forever.”

As our thought turn to romance, overpriced flowers, large stuffed animals, balloons and even that special piece of jewelry, let us know forget the original love story. The one between God and you. The one who can actually has the power and ability to love you, forever. And he does, by the way, Love you, even to the end of the age.
