One Year Bible Reading Guide:

Ezekiel 21:1-22:31
Hebrews 10:1-17
Psalm 108:1-13
Proverbs 27:12

Verses for Today:

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.” (Proverbs 27:12)

As a child you have little regard for dangers that are ahead.  You live in the moment!  Now being an adult you would never attempt to do the things you did in your younger years.  For example, a toddler sees a glowing red light on the top of the stove and reaches out to touch it, without the thought of being burnt.  Or a child whose ball has bounced into the road that thinks nothing of darting into the road after it.  Or the teenager who is a new driver that thinks its no big deal to blast their radio and talk on the phone while driving.

The same goes for our spiritual walk.  As we mature in our faith we "learn wisdom"!  If we are prudent we can adjust our lives to avoid getting trapped in situations.  Situations that could cause us trouble and pain.  Wise people are cautious and seek the Lord first.  We all know people in or lives who live their lives without regard to their future.  The bible warns us that this is a foolish way to live.  It is important to pray for wisdom and gain knowledge so you can make good Godly decisions.  Be wise and not foolish!
