Exodus 17:8-19:15
Matthew 22:34-23:12
Psalm 27:7-14
Proverbs 6:27-35

Verse of the day:

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Matthew 22:37-39)

Plainly and directly, Jesus explains the two greatest tips on serving Him and living a fulfilling life. It’s the most beneficial advice we’ll ever receive and sounds simple enough, right? Love God and love people. Every commandment and instruction from God can be summed up into these two words of wisdom.

But let’s get real, this is a lot easier said than done. Even I struggle with this (hard to believe, I know). So how do we make this a reality? How do we love God with EVERYTHING we have and love people with the same devotion we love ourselves?

First, you’re going to fail. Over and over and over again. But there’s always another opportunity to get it right. So secondly, don’t stop. Never quit, get back up and make it better the next time. Love God with all your heart, your soul, and your mind. When you have the chance to love on someone and make them more important than yourself - don’t hesitate! Make it happen! When you’re not sure what to do, ask yourself if it’s honoring these two powerful commandments. You got this! Love God, love people!
