Genesis 30:1-31:16
Matthew 10:1-23
Psalm 12:1-8
Proverbs 3:13-15

Verse of the day:

Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. (Proverbs 3:13-15 NLT)

What is your most prized possession? Is it your car? Your home? A boat? Your giant TV? Your phone? Maybe a purse or a diamond ring? As much as you value and love that prized possession you can have something FAR more valuable if you want it. Want to know what it is? Wisdom! I can hear your disappointment that it’s not some expensive car or gift that you can see or touch. It’s hard to appreciate the value of wisdom because its unseen, it’s taken for granted until you meet someone who does not have or practice wisdom.

The person who finds wisdom finds joy. Wisdom must be sought out it is not just stumbled upon. Wisdom will guide you and protect you when life throws curve balls. You can never underestimate the value of wisdom.

Where can you begin seeking after wisdom? Proverbs 9:10 “Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.” If you want more wisdom in your life seek after having more of God in your life. Wisdom is a byproduct of being in close relationship with Him and learning His ways.  You will never have anything more valuable than wisdom!
