2 Kings 10:32-12:21
Acts 18:1-22
Psalm 145:1-21
Proverbs 18:1

Verse of the day:

"...The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness..." (Psalm 145: 8)

To walk with God for any length of time is to know that God is a gracious God—that His mercies and loving-kindness are new every day, and will never run out.

No matter how trying we can be to Him at times, and how much we stumble and fall in our walk, God is there with “grace” to cover us when we fail. He is there with “compassion” when the world only offers condemnation. He is there with “mercy’ when the world calls for justice. He is there with unconditional “loving-kindness” when the world says we are not worthy of their love—when they say we will never measure up to their standards. God’s ways are higher and deeper than ours—than the ways of this world. He measures and values us through the eyes and intersession of His Son Jesus—thank you Lord!

When we make mistakes, God does not boil over in anger towards us—He doesn't get enraged. He is “slow to anger” because He understands how we feel and sees our heart’s desire is to be like Christ—even though we fail Him at times. He knows that while we struggle in this flesh, we live in human imperfection. However, that is where God’s grace comes in—His grace forgives, restores, heals and loves.

So today, let’s turn our eyes away from the struggle and focus on the face of Jesus and get an eye-full of God’s grace.

“When I look upon Christ's face, I see the reflection of God's grace”. (By M.S.Lowndes)
