Verse of the day:

Jesus looked at them and said, “Then what does this Scripture mean? ‘The stone that the builders rejected  has now become the cornerstone.’ (Luke 20:17 NLT)

Jesus faced critics throughout His earthly ministry.

God in the flesh was standing right in front of people, and they saw Him as an opponent.

The One who came bring hope for eternity and salvation for mankind was rejected.  The religious elite wanted Jesus arrested and would eventually call for his crucifixion.

Facing the religious teachers and leading priests, Jesus told a parable about evil farmers.   The fictional story illustrates a spiritual truth.  In the story, a landlord leases property to tenant farmers.  The landlord sends servants to collect a share of the crop at harvest time.  The tenant farmers kill each of the sent servants.  Finally, the tenant farmer kill the landlord’s son (Luke 20:9-16).

Jesus looked at them and said, “Then what does this Scripture mean?
‘The stone that the builders rejected
    has now become the cornerstone.’
Everyone who stumbles over that stone will be broken to pieces, and it will crush anyone it falls on.”

Luke 20:17-18 (NLT)

Jesus is the cornerstone.  He wants to be at the center of all you do.

God desires to move in your life - restoring that which is broken, defeating the chains of sin, and empowering you to live out your purpose.

Are your eyes open to the move of God?  Will you allow Jesus to lead you today?

God gives us freewill.  With everything we think, say and do - we have the power to receive or reject Jesus.  Experience the joy, favor and protection that comes with making Christ the cornerstone of your life.
