Something's Different About You

Verse of the day:
Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. (Philippians 2:14-15)
One of the greatest compliments a Christian can receive is, “There’s something different about you.” It means you stand out, you’re contrasting, and people notice. No one likes to be called different, but when it’s because you’re a light in a dark place, there’s no better reputation to garnish.
Paul writes to the church of Philippi with some encouragement and instruction on how to shine brightly for Christ. He starts by saying, “Do everything without complaining or arguing.” He didn’t say you can complain when you don’t agree, or argue when you know your point of view is the correct one. Let me tell you, this is hard! It’s not normal! But Paul explains that if we do so, no one can criticize you. It gives you a clean, innocent slate.
