Verse of the Day:

Lazy people consider themselves smarter
than seven wise counselors.    Proverbs 26:16 (NLT)

A lazy day is refreshing.  For many of us, it is a rare treasure to have an entire day with no commitments and no pressing household chores.  On such days, I enjoy playing with my children and an afternoon nap.

While the occasional lazy day is a good thing, a lazy life is no good.  This is a theme throughout the Bible.  We were designed by God to be productive contributors.

You may know a lazy person who is full of opinions.  Maybe you are a lazy person who is full of opinions.  This is the person who has something to say about everything, but is unwilling to do something about anything.

There is an Old Testament saying for the one who is all talk and no action:

"Lazy people consider themselves smarter than seven wise counselors” (Proverbs 26:16 NLT).

An opinion without action doesn’t help.

I very much appreciate those who have come to me, identified a challenge, thought of a solution and offered to get their hands dirty to make it happen.
