One Year Bible Reading Guide:

2 Kings 22:3-23:30
Acts 21:37-22:16
Psalm 1:1-6
Proverbs 18:11-12

Verse of the day:

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. (Psalm 1:1)

Where we get our advice is important. I think if we are honest there are times when we know what type of advice we are looking for and so we go to people who we know we will get validation from whether than Godly advice! When we are having issues in our marriage or looking for direction for which way to go in life following advice from those who don’t have a relationship with God can lead us down dangerous paths! The reasoning of the world is not the same as Godly reasoning!

What joy we can have in following Godly & Biblical wisdom! I had a Bible teacher is high school that would always say, “God’s ways may not always be easy, but they are always simple!” Life is much simpler when we follow what God says! We are spared so much hurt and pain when we just follow His ways!

Where are you turning for advice? Do you look for advice to validate or advice to lead you in a Godly direction? If you find yourself looking for validation in a decision take a pause and see out what the Bible says and find Godly counsel!
