Psalm 39:1-13
Proverbs 21:30-31

Verse of the day:

Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. (1 Corinthians 15:43)

To experience genuine Christianity is to experience life to the full. Everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. Just think about the huge implications of this!

Jesus raised people from the dead during his ministry on Earth and scripture describes the resurrections of 3 people: the widow’s son at Nain (Luke 7:11-17), Jairus’ daughter (Matthew 9:18-26) and Lazarus (John 11:1-44). As miraculous as each of these healings were, each were resurrected back to their own human bodies. In other words, their healings were temporary because they all still died later in their lives.

Jesus’ resurrection was different. He was raised to his same body, yet it was glorified. He could pass through solid walls (John 20:19), he could suddenly appear out of nowhere (Luke 24:36) and He could ascent directly into heaven in bodily form, with no adverse effects (Acts 1:9)! He was resurrected to a glorified body and He is alive today! Now the great news is…we too will be resurrected! Not only that, we will be raised to life in glorified bodies that are eternal in nature. It’s ultimate life. It’s ultimate healing. It’s the ultimate good news. And it’s what separates Christianity from everything else.
